Unitree Robotics and Sequoia China have launched the Shanyu Venture Program. This initiative focuses on early-stage startups within the fields of embodied AI, robotics applications, and related upstream and downstream technologies.
The program combines Unitree's engineering expertise with Sequoia China's investment experience. It aims to support founders from the initial idea and prototype stages through to product scaling and global market entry.
The strategy centers on five core principles: deep industry knowledge, early-stage identification, rapid decision-making, a focus on human talent, and non-intrusive support. The program specifically targets young teams.
Unitree founder and CEO Wang Xingxing noted that Sequoia has been a key supporter of the company since 2019. The new venture program represents a deeper collaboration between the two entities based on their existing partnership.
