Ultra Robotics Corp. has secured $62 million in funding across two investment rounds. The Series A round, which provided $50 million, was led by Framework Ventures. The seed round was jointly led by Y Combinator and NextView Ventures. The company intends to allocate these funds toward engineering projects and scaling the deployment of its robotic systems.

The company produces the OP1 Operator, a warehouse robot featuring a humanoid design mounted on a robotic arm with forklift-style grippers. It has a vertical reach of 10 feet and can retrieve items from shelves or pick up fallen goods. The robot operates on a wheeled base that requires manual positioning and locks into place during use.

The OP1 Operator automates sorting, kitting, and packaging tasks, including sealing parcels and applying shipping labels. It supports various packaging materials such as envelopes and plastic bags. The unit connects to standard wall outlets and local networks, eliminating the need for battery maintenance while enabling data sharing between robots.

Ultra Robotics utilizes data from the robot's onboard sensors to refine its artificial intelligence models. The company states that these models require minimal configuration, allowing for setup within a few hours. Once operational, a single OP1 Operator unit is capable of processing up to 1,000 items per day.
