Financial disclosures filed on September 22 reveal that investment accounts linked to Donald Trump executed a series of trades involving MicroStrategy stock throughout the summer. Records indicate that the accounts sold shares in June and early July, followed by a re-entry into the position on July 24 and July 27.
The July 24 purchase was valued between $1,001 and $15,000, while the July 27 transaction ranged from $50,001 to $100,000. Since the July 24 acquisition, MicroStrategy stock has experienced an 83% increase in value, rising from a closing price of $91.67 to $167.33 by September 22.
The Trump Organization stated that these accounts are managed by external firms and that neither Donald Trump nor his family members are involved in the selection or approval of specific investments. The trades occurred during a period when MicroStrategy's daily trading volume hit a 2026 low of $1.7 billion in July.
MicroStrategy, which holds 846,000 BTC as of September 21, saw its stock performance correlate with Bitcoin price movements. While the company paused Bitcoin acquisitions in July, it has since resumed buying. The recent disclosures have prompted inquiries from Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Robert Garcia regarding the timing of the transactions.
