Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, has significantly rebalanced his investment portfolio. According to an interview on October 17, 2026, he sold 80-90% of his Ethereum holdings, executing these trades at prices between $3,600 and $4,000 per token.
The proceeds from the Ethereum sales were primarily reinvested into US technology stocks. Sun maintains a significant position in NVIDIA, citing the company's role in the AI sector, and holds a substantial allocation in the Nasdaq 100 index.
Despite his investment in the Nasdaq 100, Sun expressed a slightly bearish outlook on the index, pointing to concerns regarding capital concentration and rising interest rates. However, he has not opened any short positions against traditional assets.
Sun’s Bitcoin holdings remain untouched and are held in cold storage to mitigate risks associated with quantum computing and AI algorithms. Prior to these disclosures, on-chain data indicated his total holdings exceeded $2.25 billion.
The founder stated he retains 20% of his original Ethereum as a base asset but has no plans to repurchase the tokens he sold. He currently has no exposure to Chinese A-shares.
