On September 29, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order mandating that all federal agencies replace the term Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Super Intelligence (SI). The administration argues that current systems have evolved beyond simple imitation or automation, representing a new era of technological capability that requires updated terminology.
The directive requires federal departments to adopt the SI designation in all official contexts, explicitly prohibiting the use of the term AI. The administration states that this change reflects the transformative potential and rapid advancement of modern systems, which now enable breakthroughs in fields such as medicine and science.
Additionally, the government launched America.gov, a centralized digital portal for federal information and services. The platform currently allows users to ask questions and receive answers. Future updates scheduled for later this year will enable citizens to complete tasks like passport renewals and health insurance registration directly through the site.
