Trikolor has updated its Second Screen service, enabling the built-in voice assistant to function locally. This feature eliminates the need for an active internet connection to process voice commands, ensuring stability regardless of service provider status.
Users must connect to the internet once to install the application and download the assistant module. After the initial setup, the system operates directly through a local Wi-Fi network. The functionality is compatible with the company's hybrid satellite set-top boxes.
The voice assistant allows users to power the TV on and off, search for channels by name or number, adjust volume, manage recording, and launch applications. These commands are executed directly between the smartphone and the set-top box without external server interaction.
Beyond voice control, the application provides offline access to satellite channels, an interactive TV guide, and reminders for series premieres. Users can also receive personalized movie recommendations and access film-related articles while connected to their home Wi-Fi.
