MegaFon has completed a network infrastructure upgrade across several settlements in the Krasnogvardeysky District, located on the border of the Stavropol Territory and the Rostov Region. The project involved expanding the frequency spectrum in the 2100 MHz band and deploying mid and high-frequency ranges to boost channel capacity.
As a result of these technical improvements, the maximum mobile internet speed in the area has increased by 10%. The operator reports that these changes allow for faster content loading and support a higher number of simultaneous users, which is essential given the area's popularity with tourists visiting the Yegorlyk River.
Data consumption in the district has grown by 21% over the last six months. According to MegaFon, local customers now consume an average of 25 GB of mobile data per month. The company continues to modernize its regional infrastructure, extending these upgrades to both large villages and smaller settlements throughout the year.
