The funding round was led by Paladin Capital Group, with participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, and the European Innovation Council Fund. This latest injection of capital brings the total funding raised by Treble to €36 million. Previously, in September 2024, the company secured €11 million in a Series A round led by KOMPAS VC.

Founded in 2020 by acoustic engineers Dr. Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, the Reykjavik-based startup provides a cloud-based platform for physical sound simulation. The technology enables companies to create digital twins of rooms, vehicles, and devices to model how sound waves travel, reflect, and decay. This approach allows engineering teams to generate synthetic audio datasets without needing physical field measurements.

Treble currently collaborates with major technology firms, including Amazon and Logitech. According to Amazon, the platform is utilized to model virtual acoustic environments during the development of the Alexa AI assistant. The startup plans to use the new capital to scale its operations, specifically targeting the physical AI and robotics sectors, and to support its expansion into the US market.

The company aims to address the limitations of current robotics, which often struggle with interpreting sounds in complex environments. By providing high-accuracy simulations, Treble helps developers train AI models to distinguish speech from background noise and operate reliably in real-world conditions. The platform is positioned as a faster and more cost-effective alternative to traditional prototyping.
