Toyota Motor North America reported total sales of 633,233 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026, marking a 0.6% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Electrified models, including hybrids and plug-in hybrids, accounted for 57.4% of the company's total sales volume during the quarter.

The Toyota bZ electric SUV reached nearly 25,000 units sold through September 2026, with 2,381 units sold in the third quarter alone. The model, which starts at $35,000, currently ranks as one of the most affordable electric vehicles available in the United States market.

Toyota's current US electric lineup includes the bZ, C-HR, and bZ Woodland models, alongside the Lexus RZ and ES. Through September 2026, the company recorded 7,215 sales for the C-HR, 2,600 for the bZ Woodland, 10,214 for the Lexus RZ, and 10,333 for the ES.

The company plans to expand its electric portfolio with the introduction of the three-row Lexus TZ later this year, followed by the Toyota Highlander BEV in 2027. These developments follow the recent opening of the Battery Center of North America in Saline, Michigan, a 30,000-square-foot facility focused on battery testing and development.
