Seatpin has introduced Pin AI, a tool designed to help users find concert tickets through conversational queries rather than traditional filters. CEO Galin Ananiev noted that customers frequently prefer direct chat requests over navigating complex website interfaces, a trend observed across all age demographics.
Major ticket marketplaces are adopting similar conversational AI strategies. SeatGeek launched its Ask SeatGeek tool in August, while Ticketmaster integrated its listings with Google Gemini in August and the ChatGPT app marketplace earlier this year. These tools allow users to compare seating and pricing within a chat environment.
Seatpin also operates an application within the ChatGPT marketplace, though the company has not yet actively promoted this channel. According to Ananiev, the primary challenge remains the automation of the final purchase, as ticket prices and inventory availability can fluctuate rapidly.
To address security concerns, Seatpin utilizes a two-step verification process where the AI prepares the order and the customer provides final approval via email and SMS. This approach aims to keep the consumer in control of high-value transactions that are difficult to reverse.
Financial institutions are also adapting to agentic commerce. Visa and Mastercard have introduced tokenized credentials that allow merchants and banks to authorize AI agents for specific transactions. Research from PYMNTS Intelligence indicates that while 45% of consumers are open to AI-led purchases, 95% still express concerns regarding security.
