Thought Industries Inc. has introduced Lens, an artificial intelligence tool designed to identify and resolve conflicting product information before it reaches end users. The product functions as part of the company's new Customer Knowledge AI Platform, which also incorporates the existing course software, Thought Industries Academy.
Lens integrates with a company's existing data repositories, such as help centers and product documentation, without requiring data migration. The system utilizes a governed knowledge layer where AI agents monitor for contradictory information based on trust rules defined by the business. When product details change, the agents update the relevant guidance.
The platform allows customers to access information directly within a product or through preferred AI assistants. Additionally, the system tracks user queries to identify common pain points. The Linux Foundation has announced plans to implement Lens to manage information across its various training and certification systems.
Thought Industries, which has operated since 2013, is currently backed by private equity, including a strategic growth investment from Luminate Capital Partners in 2019. Lens is currently available in a beta version as the company shifts its focus toward helping business leaders consolidate scattered knowledge.
