The FSE Group has introduced the Future London Growth Fund, a new debt vehicle aimed at supporting scale-up businesses across the 32 London boroughs and the City of London. The fund aims to provide over £70 million in lending to companies that often face challenges in accessing capital from traditional financial institutions.
The initiative is supported by cornerstone commitments from the British Business Bank, which contributed £20 million, and Funding London, the investment arm of the Mayor of London. Through its entity GLIF Limited, Funding London is participating in the fund as part of the broader London Growth Plan to stimulate economic development.
The fund offers loans ranging from £1 million to £3 million. This capital is intended to bridge the gap between standard bank financing and larger venture debt, specifically targeting businesses with proven commercial traction and clear expansion strategies.
The FSE Group has extensive experience in managing regional investment funds. Since 2019, it has overseen the £66 million debt portion of the Greater London Investment Fund. Additionally, the firm manages portions of the South West Investment Fund, the Investment Fund for Scotland, the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, and the South East Investment Fund.
