The Browser Company has officially announced the discontinuation of its Arc browser. The software will cease all operations on December 22. The company previously shifted its development focus toward a new AI-centric browser named Dia.
The shutdown process is structured in phases. New account registrations are already disabled. Existing users retain access for now, but the browser's functionality will gradually decrease over the coming weeks.
On November 23, the company will disable AI-powered features, including the Browse for Me tool, in the iOS and Android mobile versions. Users will also lose the ability to log in and sync tabs on that date.
The Arc Search application for Android will be removed from the Google Play Store. The developer encourages users to migrate to the Dia browser and has provided a FAQ section detailing the data transfer process.
