Tesla has released version 4.62.0 of its mobile application, introducing a redesigned interface specifically optimized for larger displays and foldable devices. The update targets iPad users and the upcoming Apple iPhone Duo, moving away from the previous stretched layout.
For iPad users, the new version implements a dedicated dual-column layout. The left side houses the function menu, while the right side displays a detailed vehicle visualization. This allows users to access more vehicle information simultaneously without navigating through deep menus.
The application now supports the foldable screen of the iPhone Duo. When unfolded, the interface displays charging data, live camera feeds, and dashcam footage on the main screen. When the device is folded, the app automatically reverts to the standard smartphone interface.
The updated vehicle visualization now mirrors the in-car parking interface, complete with paint-matching backgrounds and ground reflections. Users can control the front and rear trunks, lock or unlock the vehicle, and monitor charging status directly from this view.
Tesla has also added a custom control entry point for quick access to features like lights, horn, start, and ventilation. A new PSI display button allows users to view tire pressure directly on the main visualization screen, streamlining the user experience.
