At the IAA Transportation 2026 event in Hannover, Sunwin introduced a new electric bus lineup under the MG Commercial brand. The company presented two flagship models: the iEV12 city bus and the iEV12LE low-entry intercity bus, both built on a shared intelligent manufacturing platform.

The vehicles feature 489kWh battery packs with cell-to-pack technology. Under the e-SORT 2 cycle, the buses achieve a range exceeding 650 km, with a real-world operating range of 400–500 km. The models include dual heating systems, using either diesel or electric heaters to manage energy consumption in cold climates.

The series utilizes a silicon-based powertrain control unit that improves energy efficiency by approximately 20%. The design allows for a maximum speed of 100 km/h. Sunwin plans to offer customized vehicle designs to meet specific operational requirements of European clients.

CEO Ma Zhengang stated that the company is leveraging 20 years of experience partnering with European manufacturers like Volvo to meet local engineering and safety standards. MG Commercial will utilize the existing SAIC Motor Group after-sales network while developing a dedicated European service team.

Over the next five years, Sunwin aims to prioritize brand reliability and long-term partnerships with public transport operators over immediate sales volume. The company intends to establish a stable presence in the European market through high-quality products and full-cycle support.
