During the Q3 2026 earnings call on October 30, 2026, Michael Saylor announced that Strategy aims to generate between $10 billion and $30 billion in digital credit. This strategy intends to function independently of Bitcoin price appreciation or new equity issuance.
The company currently holds approximately 848,517 BTC. Saylor stated that this treasury provides sufficient collateral to issue credit-style products. The firm categorizes its financial instruments into digital capital, digital equity, and digital credit, the latter represented by preferred stock such as STRC.
STRC is designed to offer double-digit yields with a target par value of $100. Strategy has conducted buybacks of STRC totaling billions of dollars to maintain this price level and plans to transition to daily dividend payments supported by cash reserves.
Beyond credit instruments, the company has authorized up to $1 billion for common stock repurchases. Despite the focus on digital credit, Strategy reaffirmed its commitment to remain a net buyer of Bitcoin, while aiming to reduce potential dilution for common shareholders.
