Steplife Group has launched a fully localized production facility for carbon fiber prosthetic feet, specifically the Steplife Cross and Steplife Cross Low models. The new plant is located in an industrial zone in eastern Moscow, though its exact address remains confidential.
The facility features an autoclave production line for molding and polymerizing composite parts, alongside a section for precision machining of titanium, steel, and aluminum components. Previously, complex manufacturing tasks were outsourced to international partners.
Once the site reaches full capacity, Steplife aims to produce up to 10,000 carbon fiber prosthetic feet and 1,000 bionic prostheses and knee modules annually. R&D and testing will continue at the company headquarters in Skolkovo.
The project is managed by Handy Robotics JSC, a subsidiary of Steplife Group. CEO Ivan Khudyakov stated that the new infrastructure reduces reliance on foreign suppliers while maintaining a strategy of production diversification.
