The Stellar Development Foundation launched its annual Meridian 2026 conference in Lisbon on October 28. The two-day event, hosted at the Convento do Beato, focuses on institutional finance, payment rails, and developer tools within the Stellar ecosystem.

The agenda features discussions on network scaling, ecosystem growth, and institutional tokenization. Technical sessions are dedicated to topics such as block production speed and quantum readiness for the network.

The speaker lineup includes SDF leadership, including Denelle Dixon, alongside representatives from US Bank, Fireblocks, and SkyBridge Capital's Anthony Scaramucci. The event serves as a platform for global community engagement.

Prior to the main conference, the HackMeridian hackathon took place from October 25 to 26. Participants competed for a prize pool totaling up to $30 000 in XLM tokens.

The foundation implemented tiered ticket pricing, with developer passes priced at $49 and general admission at $299. Special pricing options were also provided for government representatives.

Meridian was established in 2019 as the flagship event for the Stellar network. Historically, the conference has attracted over 1 000 attendees from various countries to discuss network deployment.
