Open Standard has recorded the highest 30-day market capitalization growth among all stablecoin issuers, adding $794 million to its OUSD token supply. The project, which launched on September 30, 2026, reached a market cap of approximately $828 million by October 28, 2026.
The stablecoin was introduced simultaneously on four blockchains: Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Tempo. As of late October, approximately 64% of the total OUSD supply, exceeding $500 million, is concentrated on the Tempo network.
The venture is backed by a consortium of founding partners including Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe, and Visa, each holding equal equity stakes. Initial liquidity commitments for the project exceeded $1 billion from a network of over 200 companies.
OUSD is designed as infrastructure for payments and programmable finance, allowing users to swap tokens for US dollars at a 1:1 ratio with no minting or redemption fees. Reserve assets are held at BlackRock, Lead Bank, and BNY Mellon, with monthly attestations published by Open Standard.
