Stellantis Pro One has unveiled the BOW (Box On Wheels) concept, a fully electric, autonomous delivery vehicle developed in partnership with UQI Robotics. The vehicle features a minimalist design that lacks a windshield, dashboard, and driver seat, functioning essentially as a mobile cargo container.
The concept was presented at the IAA Transportation event in Hannover, Germany. Stellantis intends to use the platform to explore autonomous logistics in controlled environments, such as factory floors, hospitals, airports, and designated low-emission urban zones, rather than on public highways.
Stellantis has not released technical specifications for the vehicle, including battery capacity, range, payload, motor output, or the level of autonomy. The company confirmed that the project is currently in an early-stage concept phase and is not available for purchase orders.
Initial validation testing for the BOW platform is scheduled to begin in Europe. The project is part of a broader strategy by Stellantis to develop an ecosystem for commercial fleets, which includes the Pro One NEXT operating system designed to manage data, insurance, and fleet maintenance.
