Stellantis has adjusted the production timelines for its upcoming extended-range electric vehicles. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer EREV is now scheduled to begin production at the Warren Truck Plant in November 2026, marking a six-month shift from the previously targeted May 2026 date.
The Ram 1500 REV faces a more significant delay, with production now expected to start in mid-April 2027. This timeline represents a nine-month postponement from the original mid-2026 launch window that was previously listed on the company's consumer-facing website.
Internal supplier memos indicate that the primary cause for these schedule adjustments is the shared powertrain architecture. Both vehicles utilize a common 400-volt battery and electric motor system, meaning technical challenges in one program directly impact the development timeline of the other.
Stellantis has not issued a formal public announcement regarding these delays. While the company maintains that the Jeep Grand Wagoneer EREV remains on track for a 2026 launch, the updated schedules reflect a strategic shift in the rollout of its series-hybrid platform.
