Standard Asset Company (SAC) has launched in the Abu Dhabi Global Market with a strategy to combine UAE real estate investments with a Bitcoin reserve. The firm aims to raise $1.5 billion for this initiative over a 10-year period, with quarterly reviews of its asset allocation.

The company plans to acquire hospitality properties and branded residences to generate operational income. These proceeds will be used to build and manage a Bitcoin reserve. SAC has appointed Coinbase Asset Management as the exclusive manager for its digital asset holdings.

SAC is registered as a proprietary company, meaning it invests its own capital rather than managing funds for external clients. The firm was founded by Sakhib Waseem, Adam Ali, and Mason Borda, and counts Brett Tejpaul and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum among its advisers and shareholders.

While the company has set a total target of $1.5 billion, it has not disclosed the specific split between real estate and Bitcoin. The firm intends to use managed yield strategies to support its reserve, though specific details on these methods remain undisclosed.
