Wirex, a provider of stablecoin infrastructure, is organizing a new industry event called Full Stack London. The conference will take place on November 12 at the Ham Yard Hotel in London. This closed-door gathering is designed for founders, CEOs, and technical developers working in the fintech, payments, and digital asset sectors.
The agenda focuses on the business models and infrastructure of stablecoins, including their integration into payment systems and barriers to business adoption. Key speakers include representatives from Mastercard, Circle, Morpho, and the UK House of Lords. The event will also feature discussions on banking-as-a-service, AI accountability, and global regulatory frameworks.
The conference follows recent industry shifts, such as Mastercard's acquisition of London-based BVNK for $1.8 billion and the launch of Circle’s Arc blockchain in September. Wirex CEO Pavel Matveev noted that card spending on stablecoins has tripled over the past year, prompting major payment companies to increase their involvement in the sector.
The choice of London as a host city reflects recent regulatory developments in the UK. The Financial Conduct Authority has finalized its crypto rules and opened an authorization regime, while the Bank of England has removed proposed limits on the amount of stablecoins that individuals and businesses can hold.
