Square Tech, a KOSDAQ-listed company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GOAT Network to develop AI agent-powered stablecoin payment services in South Korea. DAC Labs will provide technical support for the integration.

The primary goal is to incorporate GOAT Network’s technology into a payment program for foreign tourists, currently being developed by Square Tech and Lordsystem. This system will allow visitors to use mobile passports for identity verification and pay with US dollar-denominated stablecoins.

The proposed solution includes security measures such as verifiable on-chain identities based on the ERC-8004 standard, user authorization protocols, and spending limits. The rollout will occur in phases, pending regulatory review.

Square Tech will manage domestic business development and merchant partnerships, while GOAT Network provides infrastructure. The companies plan to explore future support for Korean won-denominated stablecoins as local regulations evolve.
