The Series A funding round reached $21 million. Balderton Capital led the investment, with additional backing from Base10 Partners, Y Combinator, and Fortino. The company, founded in 2024 in Leuven by Lander Degreve, Manu Vanderveeren, and Samuel Smeys, provides an AI-native applicant tracking and CRM platform for recruitment agencies.

Spott consolidates candidate management, search, outreach, and automation into one system. The platform processes data from emails, CVs, and pipelines, supporting databases of up to two million candidates. It automates administrative tasks while requiring human approval for candidate placement decisions.

The startup intends to use the capital to fuel international expansion, including new offices in Sydney and New York. Plans also include increasing the workforce and engineering capacity. Future development will focus on enterprise functionality and agentic AI features for identifying vacancies and candidate career moves.
