SpaceX has scheduled the 14th test flight of its Starship vehicle for no earlier than September 22, 2026. The mission aims to achieve the first stable low Earth orbit for the integrated system, launching from the Starbase facility in South Texas.
The flight profile involves the upper stage reaching an altitude of approximately 275 kilometers to complete six orbits over nearly 10 hours. The mission will conclude with a controlled splashdown in the Pacific Ocean, located west of Chile.
The launch window opens at 12:15 UTC and lasts for 75 minutes. The mission success depends on weather conditions and final approvals from the FAA, following the submission of necessary documentation to the FCC.
The payload for this flight includes 26 Starlink V3 satellites, which are designed to offer higher capacity than the previous V2 mini versions. Expanding the Starlink network remains a primary business objective for the company.
This attempt follows the 13th test flight conducted on July 24, 2026, which successfully demonstrated satellite deployment and controlled splashdown procedures. SpaceX has been a publicly traded company under the ticker SPCX since June 2026.
