Elon Musk recently addressed concerns regarding the road legality of the second-generation Tesla Roadster. During a demonstration at the SpaceX facility in Waco, Texas, the vehicle showcased its capabilities, including jumping over a line of cars using compressed air thrusters.

Musk stated that the Roadster is intended to be a road-legal vehicle, though he noted that its legality may vary depending on specific jurisdictions and local road conditions. He suggested that ownership will be possible, even if the car is not permitted everywhere.

The vehicle features a fan-based suction system capable of generating 2G of downforce, which theoretically allows for inverted driving. Additionally, the car is equipped with four SpaceX thrusters at the rear, which are designed to achieve a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 0.81 seconds.

Musk claims the new Roadster will surpass all existing track records. A specialized Rocket version, described as a single-seater, will be available exclusively for invited customers. Mass production of the vehicle is scheduled for 2028.
