SpaceX has returned Ship 40 to Texas following a 75-day sea journey. The vehicle arrived at the Port of Brownsville on October 7 and is scheduled to be transported back to the production site for inspections and potential breakover practice.
Ship 42, designated for Flight 15, has returned to the Massey’s test site for a third round of cryo-proof testing. SpaceX removed all six engines from the vehicle, likely to address internal plumbing issues identified during previous flights to prevent Raptor Vacuum engine failures.
Flight 15 is currently targeted for no earlier than November 8, pending regulatory license updates. The mission may involve an attempt to catch both the ship and the booster, though this remains unconfirmed. Booster 22 is currently being prepared for static fire testing.
Flight 16 is scheduled for no earlier than December 10 from LC-39A at the Kennedy Space Center. This mission will utilize Ship 43 and Booster 23. Both vehicles are currently in the final stages of assembly and are expected to undergo cryo-proof testing within the next two weeks.
SpaceX continues to advance production for subsequent missions. Ship 44 is currently in Mega Bay 2, while components for Ships 45, 46, and 47 are in various stages of assembly at the Starfactory. Booster 24 is also undergoing assembly in Mega Bay 1.
