A study by Hi-Tech Mail reveals that 54% of Russians consider purchasing gadgets after seeing them in social media posts, reviews, or video content. For 61% of respondents, social media content has directly influenced their decision to buy electronics on multiple occasions.
When evaluating potential purchases, 73% of users find recommendations from acquaintances or other consumers who have already used the device to be the most persuasive factor. Specifically, 44% of people rely on reviews and user-generated content, while 29% prioritize advice from friends and family.
The research highlights that two-thirds of participants discovered a need for specific gadgets only after encountering them in social media feeds. Once interested, 59% of users immediately search for more detailed information, 28% focus on reading reviews, and 11% compare prices across different retailers.
