Snorkel AI has secured $350 million in a Series E funding round, bringing the company valuation to $3.5 billion. This figure represents a nearly threefold increase from the $1.3 billion valuation recorded just over a year ago. The startup has raised a total of over $500 million since its inception.

The company, founded in 2019 by Stanford AI Lab researchers including CEO Alex Ratner, reported significant financial growth. Its annualized revenue run-rate increased from approximately $20 million last year to between $350 million and $375 million today, marking a 17-fold growth over twelve months.

In September 2025, Snorkel AI transitioned to a data-as-a-service model, providing specialized training datasets and reinforcement-learning environments. The platform utilizes AI agents to curate and validate data for clients, including government agencies, hyperscalers, and AI labs.

With a current headcount of approximately 157 employees, the company maintains a revenue-per-employee ratio of about $2.3 million. Snorkel AI intends to utilize the new capital to expand its workforce and strengthen partnerships with enterprise and government clients, targeting profitability by the end of 2026.
