Snap has updated its Lens+ subscription service for the Snapchat platform, introducing several new generative AI features. The service, which launched in June 2025, is priced at $7.99 per month and focuses on providing exclusive filters alongside standard Snapchat+ benefits.
The primary addition is a tool that converts chat messages into short original songs. Users can select musical styles like pop or rock, preview the AI-generated audio, and share it within the chat. Another new feature, AI Remix, allows users to modify content received from friends using generative AI tools.
The update also includes AI-enhanced fonts for text overlays, offering textures such as foam, spray paint, and bubble styles. Additionally, subscribers gain access to Imagine Lens for image generation and AI Clips, which transforms photos into 5-second high-definition videos.
Because these generative AI features require significant server computing power, Snap has implemented a monthly usage limit for Lens+ subscribers. Once the allocated quota is exhausted, users must wait for the next billing cycle to reset their access to these specific AI functions.
