The startup SiMa.ai, which specializes in chips and software for on-device AI, has successfully closed a Series C funding round. The company raised $150 million, bringing its total valuation to $1.45 billion. This latest investment round was co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with additional support from Dell Technologies Capital, Alter Venture Partners, and StepStone Group.

Founded in 2018 by former Groq COO Krishna Rangasayee, SiMa.ai focuses on energy-efficient hardware that processes data locally, bypassing the need for cloud connectivity. The company aims to compete in the physical AI market, targeting sectors such as humanoid robotics, drones, and smart cameras. Its technology is positioned as a lower-latency and more cost-effective alternative to Nvidia GPUs.

With this recent injection of capital, the total funding raised by SiMa.ai now exceeds $500 million. The company previously secured a valuation of $960 million following a Series B round in July 2025, during which it raised $85 million. These funds support the company's ongoing efforts to scale its operations and expand its footprint in the rapidly growing edge AI hardware sector.
