The ObeEnd weight management wristband, developed by the Yuefan Medical brand Shuleding, was showcased at the 9th China International Import Expo. The device resembles a standard smart bracelet and is designed to assist with appetite control through targeted nerve stimulation.
The wristband functions by delivering precise electrical signals to the median nerve via electrodes on the inner side of the wrist. This process targets the brain's feeding center to induce a sensation of satiety. According to the manufacturer, the technology stimulates the Neiguan acupoint to influence the brain-gut axis and modulate appetite-related hormones like ghrelin and PYY.
Users can purchase the device at a starting price of ¥459, down from the listed price of ¥799. Company representatives emphasize that the wristband serves as an auxiliary tool for weight management and does not replace the need for a balanced diet or regular exercise.
While the device produces a noticeable pulsed stimulation sensation, its long-term efficacy in weight loss remains subject to further clinical validation. The company notes that individual results ultimately depend on the user's personal commitment and willpower.
