Sberbank has updated its smart ring to include contactless payment capabilities via the Vzhukh technology. This integration allows users to complete transactions at any terminal supporting Vzhukh or Sberbank biometric systems across Russia, eliminating the need for physical cards or smartphones.

The Vzhukh technology utilizes the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol to facilitate payments on both iOS and Android devices. It functions without an internet connection and employs encryption mechanisms to secure data transmission against interception or forgery during the payment process.

To enable payments, users must link a Sberbank account to the smart ring application. Transactions are confirmed by holding the hand parallel to the floor and double-tapping the ring's sensor before presenting it to the payment terminal.

The device also features health-tracking capabilities, with data analyzed by the GigaChat neural network to provide personalized wellness recommendations. Users can further integrate this data with the SberZdorovye service to consult medical professionals.

The smart ring is currently available for purchase through the official SberDevices online store, partner retail outlets, and Sber Private Banking or SberPervy branches. The manufacturer has set the recommended retail price for the device at 24 990 ₽.
