Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 series, featuring the Tab S12 Plus and Tab S12 Ultra. The Plus model replaces the two-year-old Tab S10 Plus, while the Ultra serves as an iterative update to the previous Tab S11 Ultra. Notably, the standard Tab S12 model is absent from the current lineup, with no release expected until 2027.

The Tab S12 Plus features a 12.6-inch display, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, and a 10,600mAh battery. It is thinner and lighter than its predecessor. The Tab S12 Ultra retains the 14.6-inch screen and 11,600mAh battery of the S11 Ultra, adding only a new chipset and improved four-channel spatial audio. Both devices include IP68 ratings and seven years of software support.

Pricing for the new tablets has increased by $200 compared to previous generations. The Tab S12 Plus now starts at $1,199, while the Tab S12 Ultra is priced at $1,399. Both models feature OLED displays with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits and include an S Pen stylus in the box.

A key software addition is the debut of Adobe Photoshop for Tablets on Android. The application will be a Galaxy Store exclusive for six months and includes AI features, an optimized interface, and full S Pen support. The new tablets are scheduled to reach retail shelves on October 7th.
