Samsung has officially released the stable version of One UI 9, which is built on the Android 17 operating system. The update is now available for the 2024 flagship lineup, including the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models.

The rollout also covers the company's foldable devices, specifically the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Initially, the software distribution has commenced in South Korea, with plans to expand to other global regions over the coming days and weeks.

The size of the update package varies depending on the current system state. For users transitioning from the beta version, the update is approximately 500 MB for the S24 series and 408 MB for the foldable models.

Users upgrading from the stable One UI 8.5 version will need to download larger files, specifically 3.8 GB for the Galaxy S24 series and 3.5 GB for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 devices.

Samsung advises users to perform a full data backup before installation. Additionally, the manufacturer recommends connecting to a Wi-Fi network and ensuring the device has a sufficient battery charge level to complete the update process.
