Users of various Samsung Galaxy smartphones, including the S24, S25, and S26 series, as well as the Galaxy A57 and certain foldable models, have reported technical issues following the One UI 9.0 update. The problem manifests as an XML error labeled Access Denied during the initial device setup process.

According to reports from Android Authority on October 12, the error appears immediately after the welcome screen, preventing users from accessing the home screen. While the update itself installs without issues and the device boots successfully, the setup wizard remains blocked by this system error.

Insider Fahad Ali Javed suggests that the malfunction may stem from recent server-side changes implemented by Samsung to prevent firmware leaks. Users have shared various workarounds on platforms like Reddit and X, noting that disconnecting from the network or performing a reboot can sometimes resolve the issue.
