Samsung is expanding the cross-platform capabilities of its Quick Share feature. Following an update to One UI 9, the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A57 smartphones will gain the ability to transfer files directly to Apple devices, including the iPhone 18 Pro, iPads, and Mac computers.
The integration relies on compatibility with Apple's AirDrop protocol. To initiate a transfer, users must enable discovery settings in both the Quick Share menu on their Android device and the AirDrop settings on their Apple hardware. Once paired, users can send photos and documents without relying on third-party applications.
Samsung initially introduced this cross-platform functionality in March 2026, starting with flagship models like the Galaxy S26. The feature is activated via a specific 'Share with Apple devices' option that appears in the Quick Share settings menu after the software update.
