Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Buds On, the company's first clip-on style earbuds. The device features an open-ear design that wraps around the auricle, allowing users to maintain awareness of their surroundings while walking, cycling, or running.

The hardware is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 sound platform and includes a Class-D amplifier. The earbuds offer up to 9.5 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge. To address common open-ear audio issues, Samsung integrated TwinBoost technology for enhanced low-frequency response and an Audio Leakage Reduction feature.

For communication, the device utilizes three microphones, a bone conduction voice pickup sensor, and machine learning to isolate speech from background noise. The earbuds support Galaxy AI features, enabling voice-based interaction for tasks like memos and notifications when paired with compatible Samsung devices.

The earbuds include a head gesture control system that recognizes nodding or shaking motions to answer or reject calls, dismiss alarms, and read notifications. Users can also trigger Gemini Live for continuous conversations via voice commands and record memos by long-pressing the back of the device.

The Galaxy Buds On will launch in South Korea on October 27, available exclusively in black. The retail price is set at ₩299,000. As of now, there is no information regarding a release date or availability for the Chinese market.
