Samsung Display and LG Display are currently developing new manufacturing processes for OLED panels intended for Apple devices. The suppliers are working on specific atomic layer deposition and sputtering techniques to integrate high mobility oxide technology into their production lines.

The primary goal of this technological upgrade is to increase the brightness of individual pixels within the OLED panels. This improvement is expected to enhance the overall screen brightness and contrast ratios for future iterations of the iPhone and iPad lineups.

Apple is systematically transitioning its entire product portfolio to OLED display technology. The implementation of these new manufacturing methods aims to deliver significant performance gains for the next generation of panels compared to those currently in use.
