Salesforce has integrated its Agentforce AI platform into Slack, allowing users to deploy autonomous agents directly within the messaging interface. These agents can manage lead sourcing, generate reports, and update CRM records through natural language commands.

The updated Slackbot, which serves as the core of this integration, became generally available to Business+ and Enterprise+ customers in January 2026. Prior to the launch, the tool underwent testing by approximately 80,000 internal users.

In September 2026, Salesforce introduced specialized agents such as Hunter for sales teams and Paige for IT and HR workflows. These agents are built using the Agent Builder tool and inherit security permissions from both the Salesforce CRM and Slack platforms.

Slack currently serves more than 200,000 paid customers globally. This deployment marks the most significant integration of the messaging app since Salesforce acquired it for $27.7 billion in 2021.
