Revenue from domestically produced materials for microelectronics in Russia is projected to reach 1.7 ₽ billion in 2026, a 17-fold increase compared to 2024. The Ministry of Industry and Trade reports that the number of materials ready for supply will rise to 69 units in 2026, up from 34 in 2024.
For the 2026–2028 period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has allocated 4.68 ₽ billion for material development. The government expects a budgetary impact of 5.29 ₽ billion from the implementation of these materials. By 2028, the total number of new materials created is expected to reach 98.
The development program aims to replace approximately 70% of equipment and materials for microelectronic production by 2030. This initiative involves 110 research and development projects. However, the sector faces a funding deficit, with total requirements estimated at 123.9 ₽ billion against allocated funds of 90.8 ₽ billion for 2026–2028.
In 2026, the industry plans to launch mass production of 15 materials, including high-purity mercury, silicon carbide powder, and tantalum powders. By 2027, an additional 15 materials are scheduled for production, such as polycrystalline diamond and various indium-based wafers. The long-term goal is to reach 250 materials by 2030–2035.
