Robinhood introduced its new AI agents at the HOOD Summit 2026 in Houston. These tools allow users to analyze markets, develop strategies, and execute trades automatically. The service will soon be available to eligible US customers, marking the company's first proprietary AI agent launch.

To set up an agent, users must name it, open a specific trading account, and connect an AI model. Robinhood offers free access to OpenAI's GPT-Luna model until December 31. While trade approvals are enabled by default, users can opt for fully autonomous operation through a feature called Loops, which is currently under development.

The platform previously opened to external AI tools on May 27 using the Model Context Protocol. Since then, users have created over 150 000 agentic accounts, generating approximately 30 million tool uses daily. Robinhood clarifies that customers remain responsible for all trading losses, as the company does not audit or monitor these agents.

Robinhood also announced plans to launch US perpetual futures for assets including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, Cardano, Chainlink, and Hyperliquid. These contracts will offer leverage up to 10x for Bitcoin and Ethereum, and 3x for other assets, provided through Bitstamp. Additionally, the company intends to enable 24/7 trading for select US stocks by early 2027.
