Munich-based industrial robotics startup RobCo has reached a valuation exceeding €892.4 million, equivalent to $1 billion. The company reports that its valuation has doubled within a nine-month period. The latest transaction involved a combination of new investment and a secondary share sale for employees.
Existing investors, including Sequoia, Lightspeed, Greenfield, Kindred, Lingotto, and Promus Ventures, participated in the round. They were joined by new backers, such as Cherry Ventures and the European Tech Collective. The company previously raised €89.2 million in a Series C round in January 2026.
RobCo specializes in AI-driven robotic systems for industrial automation. Its flagship product, Alfie, is designed for autonomous industrial tasks and will be commercially launched at the RobCoN summit in Munich on March 4, 2027. The company operates under a robotics-as-a-service model.
The startup expanded into the United States in 2025, which currently serves as its fastest-growing market. RobCo maintains manufacturing and assembly operations in Austin, Texas, and a laboratory in San Francisco. CEO Roman Holzl has relocated to the US to oversee the company's international growth.
