Red Soft and Edelweiss have established a technological partnership to ensure the compatibility of the Red OS operating system with industrial computers based on Elbrus 2C3 and Elbrus 8SV processors. This collaboration aims to support the deployment of automated process control systems and secure information infrastructure for critical sectors.
Red OS is a Russian operating system certified by the FSTEC, included in the Ministry of Digital Development registry, and compatible with over 4,300 domestic software solutions. The system has reached 2 million installations and is utilized by 12,000 customers, including state corporations and industrial enterprises.
The ED-IK-2C3 industrial computer features passive cooling and an IP54-rated enclosure, designed for operation in temperatures ranging from -20 to +50 degrees Celsius. The more powerful ED-IK-8SV model, based on an 8-core Elbrus 8SV processor, is intended for data-intensive tasks and industrial server functions with a service life of at least 10 years.
Both companies report significant interest from major industrial holdings seeking reliable alternatives to foreign hardware and software. Edelweiss is currently focusing on creating an ecosystem around its computing platforms by adapting solutions to meet the specific requirements of individual enterprises.
