Redmagic has unveiled a new flagship gaming monitor featuring Mini LED technology with 5184 local dimming zones. The device is scheduled to hit the market in December with a price tag of approximately $970.
The monitor offers two primary display modes: 5K resolution at a 180 Hz refresh rate, or 2K resolution at 330 Hz. It achieves a peak brightness of 1400 cd/m2 in HDR mode and covers 95% of the BT color space.
The display includes progressive backlight scanning to reduce motion blur and ghosting. The chassis is constructed from aluminum with a flat rear panel design.
Compared to the previous GM001S model released in 2023, the new unit increases the number of dimming zones by 96. While the new monitor improves resolution and refresh rates, its peak brightness is lower than the 2200 cd/m2 offered by its predecessor.
The product will initially launch in the Chinese market. Information regarding international availability and pricing has not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
