Radio Maximum has updated its application for Huawei smartwatches, enabling standalone functionality for users. Owners of Huawei Watch 6, Watch 5, and Watch Ultimate 2 models can now stream live broadcasts, playlists, and podcasts directly from their devices without needing a smartphone connection.
To utilize the new features, the smartwatches must be connected to a mobile network. This update allows users to manage playback, pause tracks, add content to favorites, and view listening history independently. The service is currently available for download through the AppGallery store.
The radio station, part of the Russian Media Group, initially entered the wearable device market in the summer of 2026. According to Stanislav Skalaban, Director of Site and App Development at the Russian Media Group, this integration is part of a broader strategy to increase accessibility across various platforms.
