Huawei has launched the HarmonyOS 7 Beta recruitment program for several devices, including the nova Flip, Changxiang 70X, and various MatePad Pro models. The update, designated as version 111, is currently rolling out to tablets such as the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2023, 12.2-inch 2024, 11-inch 2024, and MatePad Air 12-inch 2024.
The new software introduces several system-wide features, including 3D spatial wallpapers, remote file sharing, and enhanced communication sharing that allows multiple devices to pool network resources. Users also gain access to a new 'Intimate Circle' feature for sharing health data, schedules, and locations with family members.
Productivity and creative tools have been expanded with the addition of comic panel layouts, new brush resources, and a dictionary pen mode for quick translation. The system now supports direct power supply for gaming to reduce heat, as well as advanced PDF editing capabilities and smart recording features that generate mind maps and summaries.
The Celia AI assistant has received upgrades to its memory and task-handling capabilities, now supporting proactive service suggestions and remote file access on HarmonyOS computers. Security updates include AI voice spoofing detection and real-time risk warnings for web browsing.
System performance is bolstered by the Ark Engine, which optimizes scheduling, memory, and storage management. New features like 'Super Space Storage' and 'Super Space Memory' are designed to free up disk space and improve background application retention, while a dedicated performance mode offers faster operation.
