Porsche reported a 16 percent decline in global vehicle sales for the first nine months of 2026, totaling 178,532 units. The company's performance was impacted by a 33 percent drop in the Chinese market and a 13 percent decrease in North American registrations.

The Cayenne SUV remains the brand's best-selling model with 59,586 units sold, despite a 2 percent overall decline. Sales of the 911 sports car increased by 12 percent to 42,217 units, making it five times more popular than the electric Taycan sedan, which saw a 31 percent drop to 8,699 units.

The Macan model line recorded 51,025 sales, a 21 percent decrease, with the electric version accounting for 23,029 units. Porsche has ceased production of the combustion-engine Macan and the 718 Boxster and Cayman, with the latter seeing a 79 percent sales decline to 3,291 units.

Facing challenges with its electrification strategy, Porsche confirmed it has no plans to produce a fully electric 911. The company intends to maintain internal combustion engine options for the Cayenne alongside its electric variant to better align with market demand.
