Hong Kong-based fintech PhotonPay has secured $40 million in a Series C funding round. The investment was led by Blockchain Capital, with participation from SBI Group, IDG Capital, GL Ventures, and Lightspeed Faction. The round concluded on October 29, 2026.

The company intends to allocate the capital toward expanding its Financial Operating System, which integrates stablecoin liquidity with traditional fiat currencies. Key development areas include multi-asset wallets, global card issuance, and the establishment of local clearing infrastructure in strategic markets.

PhotonPay is also developing an execution layer designed for AI agents to facilitate autonomous payments. In May 2026, the firm conducted a live agentic payment demonstration in collaboration with Mastercard.

As of August 2026, the company reported an annualized transaction volume of $65 billion. PhotonPay currently holds 34 financial and payment licenses globally, operates 16 offices, and serves over 200,000 business customers across more than 200 countries and territories.

This latest financing follows a Series B round in January 2026. The platform maintains partnerships with major financial institutions, including J.P. Morgan and Mastercard, to support its cross-border payment operations.
